Dr. Rajendra Kumar Pachauri dedicated his entire life to the cause of environment and sustainable development. Before he succumbed to health deterioration, he was directing efforts towards two organizations which he founded: Protect Our Planet (POP) and World Sustainable Development Forum (WSDF).
Preparations were in full swing for the Second Edition of the World Sustainable Development Forum which is scheduled to be held in Durango, Mexico in March 2020. This event will go on as scheduled as a tribute to Dr. Pachauri.
We thank everyone for their generous offers for support for POP and WSDF through fundraising and organizing memorials to keep Dr. Pachauri’s vision alive and honor him eternally. We welcome these generous offer and his family, friends and colleagues call upon well-wishers and like-minded people to support these efforts and help take his vision forward.
World Sustainable Development Forum was envisaged to serve the constructivist function of deliberations and outreach involving government, political representatives, business sector, celebrities, civil society, youth and thought leaders. WSDF is a 501(c)(3) tax exempt organization and proceeds will be used for the purposes of the organization.
